Diamond wire saws have a variety of applications in stone cutting, including quarrying, block dressing, stone slab cutting, and profiling.

There are two types of stone slab cutting: single diamond wire or multi diamond wires. Multi diamond wire saws have a much faster cutting speed for slabbing stones, but the multi-wire cutting machine is also much more expensive.
