As a soft stone, marble is more prone to striping and cracking than granite, and therefore requires more careful cutting, such as smooth cutting and less chipping. Most marble segments are manufactured with copper-based metal bonds, which give them a copper coloration. You can easily recognize the difference in color between granite and marble segments.
